An industrial photographer for more than 30 years, Yohan Brandt embarked on the water 20 years ago, his lens in hand. Drawn by the unusual beauty of the sea, he has never taken his eyes off it.
As a photojournalist based in Marseille, he makes boats and the sea his greatest playground and continues to track down emotion.
And to get the perfect shot, you must not be afraid to get wet! The artist is often the first on the water and the last to return to port.

Yohan Brandt has selected thirty or so large format photographs, each 1.5m wide, which he will exhibit at the Chapelle des Pénitents Bleus. Photos of boats racing through the regattas he has followed for 20 years.
From the Route des Îles, the first regatta followed between Marseille and Corsica, to the Cap Martinique, via the Route du Rhum, the photographer shows the public all the faces of the sea, from the calmest to the most agitated. He transcribes atmospheres that are often poetic and where sky and sea can merge. Through his works, the artist also highlights the discipline he loves so much: sailing.

The fishermen just returned offer their night fishing. The stalls contain only fresh products of the Mediterranean: sardines, soles, sea breams, wolves, monkeys, rascasses, red mullet... to be bought live at the exit of the boat, near the Tourist Office and on the Old Port. A typical attraction of Provence. But you will have to get up early to get the best pieces.

The number of fishermen at the wharf and the quantities vary by day and hour.

With its 15 rooms and more than 1500 exhibits, this museum offers the discovery of the cultural, religious, traditional and economic heritage and of course everything that concerns maritime history, the invention of the cinematograph and pétanque.

On the programme for this winter: Nordic Walking with the Association Athlétique Ciotadenne. From 10am to 11am and from 11am to 12pm.

Composed of Sandra Richard on kayamb and vocals, Sanae El Bajnouni on vocals, Kader Denednia on mandola and vocals and Samuel Foudrin on percussion and vocals, Pierrette et ses Payettes pay tribute to the Reunionese segatière Pierrette Payet.

The Festival's programming axis is clear: the first film in the Cradle of Cinema.

This year, 9 short films and 9 feature films are in competition. The selection includes films which, in the profusion of releases each week, have not remained on the screen for long, and previews. All screenings take place in the presence of the film teams. The Festival offers several screenings per day, consisting of short films and feature films. The competition takes place in front of the public, which awards the prize, but also in front of a jury of professionals.

Out of competition highlights punctuate the 5 days of the festival with educational sessions, short film programmes, a carte blanche...

The company Les Amis des Calanques organises guided boat tours from the old port of La Ciotat to admire the calanques of La Ciotat, Cassis and Marseille.
The tour N°1 includes the Mugel, Négue Fumé Gaméo, Figuerolles, l'île Verte, the Cap Canaille cliff.

The duration is 45 minutes.
Departures are assured every day except in case of bad weather conditions and with a minimum of 15 passengers.

The duration is 2 hours 30 minutes.
